When we bought the property we were drawn to the quiet serenity of the lake. We had previously owned a house on a lake that was great for water skiing and such, but became too congested and lost it's appeal. From our shoreline you get a 180 degree view of nothing but nature. No houses, boat docks or any sign of civilization. You felt like you might be at a lake in Canada. But still, you are not far from fine restaurants, grocery stores and other conveniences.
A few other things we like about being on a lake are the various activities that are available to you. We have enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming and just cruising around on the lake on our pontoon boat. Our granddaughters and their two black labs, especially had fun swimming and playing on the sandy beach. Each fall we have looked forward to the beauty of the color change with the many hardwood trees on the property. We also enjoyed the evening walks down to the lake to sit on the dock to watch the many ducks and geese flying in to settle on the lake for the night. Quite a sight!!
Relax, rest, enjoy. Beautiful views and lots out outdoor fun. Kayak, play and again, relax. This home is surprisingly convenient to many Western North Carolina locations and there is so much space!

ReplyDeleteLiving on a lake is just wonderful! The house is open, and I love the screen porch! There is great space downstairs for a "man cave" an office, or just fun!

Perfect vacation property or year round retreat. Very nice additional living space below and the views of Lake Adger are amazing. Great property for wanting to stay once you get there.

ReplyDeleteWonderful log home. The wide-open windows in the living area are amazing! I love the lakeviews, and how the home is surrounded by nature. The views off the back deck are double trouble: An untainted lake, and great mountain views. The waterfall in the distance adds to the feeling. What a great find!
