I love that Weaverville is located close to Asheville and to the University of NC at Asheville, yet has low traffic, low crime and nice neighbors.
We love to eat at the new Steak N Shake, the Stoney Knob Cafe as well as the Jack of Hearts (sister restaurant to the Jack of the Wood place in Asheville).
Grocery stores are plentiful with our favorite being Ingles and the New Walmart, plus all of the other stores, it is very convenient living within 4 miles of everything we need.
We were drawn to this neighborhood for it's magnificent views, newness and safety of the area.
We like the Weaverville and Asheville area due to the eclectic nature of the place, from farmers to old hippies to professionals of all types, the nature of the people here are very friendly and welcoming. We love local events such as Belle Chere which we've been participating in for over 20 years now.
A few other things that I can mention is that it's a fabulous time to buy, prices are the best they've been in years and interest rates are wonderfully low, makes the largest living expense (housing), much more manageable now.
I love going driving up the Parkway and hiking Craggy Gardens, walking through the numerous trails in the local area, and sliding rock is a blast. I used to go there as a kid when we parked along the side of the road and walked through the woods to get there. Now it's an official place to go with a parking lot, safety observes, etc, it's still a blast.
Of course we all like different things, but I like hiking and driving through the mountains and going to concerts at the Asheville Civic Center.
Our neighborhood is great for safe walks with the kids and pets as we are on a private road, have a great pond to walk around and we have great residential neighbors (policeman, home builder, retired air traffic controller, as well as other professionals).

If you have always wanted to build in the mountains, this is a good value, the lot has wonderful views and is just 15 minutes from the many acitivities restaurants and shopping of Asheville! Gwen

ReplyDeleteI love Alexander because you feel like you are way out in the country and yet you are 10 minutes to Weaverville and fifteen minutes to Asheville. this property has WONDERFUL territorial views where you can see forever.
Very nice community and ready to build your dream home. Close to Weaverville and Asheville with that out in the country feel.
