The things I love about the Leicester area are the incredible beauty of the mountains and scenery, the friendly, creative and helpful people and the easy access to Asheville, Waynesville, Maggie Valley and Cherokee.
We love to eat at the local Leicester Grill, the Mexican Café and the Stone House Market.
There are numerous country stores nearby and Gossett’s Grocery is only 12 minutes from the farm. It has full lines of groceries and dry goods as well as a complete grill. Ingles Supermarket is 16 minutes from the farm with over 50,000 square feet of all foods including homegrown and organic, a pharmacy, a café and a fuel station.
What I love most about this area is serenity and peacefulness that engulfs the valleys and mountains. The roadways are paved and well maintained for easy travel year round.
What I love most about this farm and property is the crystal clear creeks that run through it and the sheer beauty of the mountains surrounding it. Excellent pastures for horses and cattle and superb farmland for any gardens or crops surrounds you. There is strong, full mountain forest on the upper acres with views that are stunning. Since the state maintained, paved road ends just past the farm, there is no through traffic. Quiet and calm are in abundance.

ReplyDeleteSpectacular acreage that could be used in a variety of manners. Organic farm to table opportunities abound in the recognized foodie town of Asheville. There is also pasture land for horses or livestock. Local meats and cheeses have begun to follow Oregon's lead and hold a place in the restaurants around town. But, if farming is not your thing, then it could be a great place for a number of retreats.

There are mulitiple estate quality building sights on this land. The original farm house is very charming.
