The things I love about Barnardsville is that it is quiet, has friendly people, picturesque mountain views, and is only 20 min to downtown Asheville.
We have the perfect porch for grilling at our house so we do that as often as we can. We often go 10 min down the road to Main Street in Weaverville that has many quality restaurants. There is Blue Mountain Pizza Co that has really great and interesting pizza options with a great selection of local beers on tap. There is the Glass Onion that has a very thoughtful and delicious menu of seafood and Italian dishes. Weaverville has brought in a lot of great restaurants and bars in the past few years and more keep opening up giving us a great and fresh variety. We also love to check out the Downtown Asheville scene which easy to access off of I-26. Asheville has become so popular that the restaurants and bars have the air and quality of a large metropolis.
There are many grocery stores close by in Weaverville and North Asheville. There is Ingles 10 minutes away in Weaverville as well as The Fresh Market and Greenlife in North Asheville. Earth Fare is also incredibly popular. There are many options for any type of groceries one is looking for especially in the organic and local food realm.
The view from our house is really what first caught our interest. The wraparound porch and our huge windows really emphasize how beautiful the Western North Carolina Mountains are. We also love the space that this house has given us. It has a great floor plan with space where you want it and cozy places where you need it. Our house has amazing angles and element in its design that make it anything but cookie cutter. You can definitely tell a lot of care was taken in the house and we worked to continue that process. We also love all the space that came with it. Our yard is great for having people over or just hanging out. We really have the best lot in the neighborhood.
The Asheville area has definitely risen to many popular lists of where to stay and play. The local nightlife, restaurants, bars, and shopping have something for everyone and we have miles and miles of more culture than any of the surrounding areas. The scenery is also incredibly gorgeous and remains so all year round. It's a great place to live and grow. We love living in the area. It has a great mix of beautiful mountain scenery with a city living vibe. This location is great because you usually have to live way out of town to get a view like this. With this view and space you also get everything great about Asheville only 20 minutes away. There are lots of music venues and theatres in Asheville. We attract many bigger and desirable acts because of our reputation as a culture hub. There are so many festivals and things to do all year round. We also love going exploring all the local trails on the Blue Ridge Parkway and other hiking hot spots. We enjoy hiking, entertaining, and going out in Weaverville and Asheville.
Our neighborhood has everyone from families with kids to retirees so there is a little something for everyone. The lots are very spacious and we have lots of beautiful room to walk through the neighborhood with mountain views everywhere you turn. The neighborhood is always well maintained.

This is my dream property. Absolutely stunning views, incredible pasture ground, trees and a rushing creek. The home is very dramatice with beamed ceilings, wonderful fireplaces and a wonderful sunroom to enjoy the great weather of North Carolina. This is a very hard to find country estate in Western North Carolina.

ReplyDeleteYou had me at "views of Craggy Gardens" but kept me with the rest of it -- love the fireplaces, the functionality of the home's layout, and the ease of access to Weaverville and Asheville. And my buyers can bring their horses and fly fish. Such a win!
ReplyDeleteIt is time to visit the mountains and find this gem! Just minutes from Asheville, but you have your own river to enjoy fly fishing and your own pasture for your horses and amazing views!!
