The things I love about Fairview are friendly people, beautiful countryside, and a great place to raise a family.
We love to eat at the following restaurants: Angelos, Local Joint, Great Wall, J&S, and Piazza. Grocery stores are plentiful like Food Lion and Ingles.
When we bought the property we were drawn to the peaceful setting of mature trees, bushes, and the gurgling creek. Also the mountain and valley views calm the soul. The Fairview area is wonderful for its good schools with active parent involvement.
A few other things that I can mention are: Downtown Asheville is twenty minutes away and offers an unique experience involving music and the Arts. We enjoy the diversity of people, landscapes, things to do.
The Asheville area offers many wonderful places for hiking and other ways to enjoy the outdoors. A couple of our favorites are the Blue Ridge Parkway and the NC Arboretum. Numerous colleges, medical facilities, retirement opportunities and services abound here in Western North Carolina with Asheville at the center. People here really do encourage a more balanced approach to a healthy lifestyle, including a growing appreciation for green technologies.
Some of our hobbies include nurturing flower gardens and hiking in one of the best outdoor areas of all. We enjoy attending the locally owned fine arts theatre that shows independent films. Our neighborhood is great for healthy living and beautiful scenery nurture the soul.
Our utility costs are reasonable. We use our own private well for water and Duke Energy Progress for electricity.
