The things we love about Fairview are the small town feeling, the family atmosphere, lack of heavy traffic, and easy access to Asheville or Lake Lure. If you need to get away to a big city, Charlotte is 2 hours away and Atlanta is 3 hours away.
We love to eat at The Local Joint here in Fairview. This restaurant features many dishes using locally grown farm products like vegetables, cheeses, and meats. If you want a franchise restaurant, Tunnel Road is a short 15 minute drive.
We have the advantage of shopping at local grocery stores or buying fresh produce and meats from local farms like Hickory Nut Gap Farm. We especially enjoy supporting these local families who work hard to bring quality foods to our area.
The Asheville area is wonderful for the variety of activities we have at our doorstep. The Biltmore House and the Blue Ridge Parkway are favorites. Our family loves the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock area as well. Just a few miles down the road, it is great for hiking, boating and golf. The Brevard area also offers many beautiful waterfalls and hiking. We are blessed to live in an incredibly scenic area.
A few other things that I can mention would be the local schools. We have had great experiences at Fairview Elementary, Cane Creek Middle School and A. C. Reynolds High School. Our children have attended all three schools. We are very happy with the faculties of these schools and overall experiences.Our family enjoys hiking, picnics on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the many golf courses in the immediate area. Courses in South Carolina are only an hour away. We enjoy summer concerts at Biltmore Park and shopping in Biltmore Village or at the Asheville Mall.
Incredible Home! Tons of space and 5 acres!!! Only 15 minutes to Downtown Asheville.
