The mountains originally drew me to Asheville but I love the array of things to do for my entire family. From great restaurants, to hiking, biking, camping, you name it, we love it.
For dinner, we love to start at Pack's Tavern or something like that and then walk down to the drum circle and end up at Kilwin's for chocolate or ice cream. There are tons of great grocery stores. Haw Creek is convenient to Ingle's, Harris Teeter, Greenlife, Earth Fare, and coming soon Whole Foods.
I love the back yard with the creek in the back, the rocking chair front porch and the fact that the house sits in a cul-de-sac. We loved the school district and the fact that the community college is one of the best in the country. My daughter was able to obtain her CNA while in high school and AB-Tech offers one of the best nursing programs around.
Location, Location, Location....Haw Creek is just so darned convenient to everything yet where ever you go you will see people walking, jogging, gathering. I just love this area.
My husband likes to run and there are some great running paths up to the parkway that are easily accessible from the house. Haw Creek is the greatest neighborhood, I have actually owned 3 homes here and my daughter started kindergarten and graduated high school in the Reynolds School District. It is quiet with an "out of town" feel yet minutes to everything. We love getting together with our neighbors year round for sledding and hot chocolate. We gather on the front porch, throw frisbees, kick soccer balls. 
This is a fabulous home in the highly sought out Haw Creek area of East Asheville. The screened in back porch is so inviting while over looking the green lush back yard. A bonus 1/2 bath off the Master is a nice feature. This would be a great starter home for a family. Bonus room in the basement allows for so much future opportunity!
