Things we enjoy so much about Asheville, NC is most everything!! Beautiful Mountains, places to eat, shop, tour, job opportunities, fast enough pace of life but not overwhelming.
We like to eat at the Stone Ridge Tavern near the Biltmore Square Mall, now soon to be Asheville Outlets. Apollo Flame is just next door. J&S Cafeteria, a new Zaxby's and FATZ.
Grocery shopping is very easy and convenient! Food Lion and BI-LO in one direction with Ingles near the new Asheville Outlets.
When we bought this home 6 years ago, the idea of no lawn mowing was a huge draw. The Homeowners Association fees are only $60 per month and the MHOA only $180 per year. $900 total for the whole year, not bad!! Another benefit of the association is that the neighborhood is kept to a certain standard which will always keep property values going in the right direction. Up!!!
The Asheville area is really an excellent place to reside. Diversity says a lot about our city. Whether outgoing and social, or the enjoyable life of a homebody, you will find your place in Asheville, NC.
Buncombe County, NC has done well for job opportunites. Mission Hospital is just one example. Mission Hospital as one of the largest employers, now extends into surrounding counties and has greatly improved the area. Ingles Super Markets is a locally owned grocery chain with around 200 stores covering the surrounding area. Manufacturing and small businesses seem to thrive. Restaurant, retail and real estate always seems to be pretty busy. That's a good indicator for local economy!!
I have always enjoyed the car business and there are four dealerships within 3 miles of home. Jim Barkley Toyota, Asheville Ford, Anderson Nissan and Harmony Motors. Very nice!!
Our neighborhood is great for a quiet, peaceful environment. Secure and safe neighboring areas. Away from noise and traffic, yet one of the most convenient places in Buncombe County to live. Access to I26 and I40 5-6 minutes AND in three directions. Very handy!!

The things I love about my town are the conveniences of shopping, eating and only a short 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville. Great eatery places like Applebee's, Cruisers, Yao Chinese, Pizza Hut and much more.
We love to eat at the local Chinese restaurant by the name of YOi which is only 2 miles east of our little country town. This is a buffet style meal with many great options from salad to seafood to chicken and much more in between.
Grocery stores are plentiful with a friendly Dollar Market being only a hop skip and jump away. Next you have a Food Lion which is three tenths of a mile and a BI-LO only 2 minute drive from that point . Our newest grocery market, "Ingles," which is one mile at 2nd light and on the right, will be opening in a few short months.
When I bought the property I was drawn to the big yard and how close we are to main road. During times of inclement weather it's nice knowing that you only have one small turn out of your drive and you are on the main highway.
Living in the Asheville area is great because there are plenty of employment opportunities and such a diverse culture of people. If you enjoy strolling through a yard sale or flea market this is the place for you.
Other things I care to mention are that this neighbor hood is not known as a high crime area and very rarely do you hear any loud or obnoxious notices.
We enjoy taking walks in and around the neighborhood and inviting our neighbors over for some cookouts and horse shoe pitching down on the lower end of our property where there is plenty of shade while you sit underneath the picnic shed. We enjoy sitting on the covered front porch and watching the birds eat from the feeders that hang in the flower beds.
As we all have our different hobbies and interests, we all like going over to the little town burger joint for a good ole ice cream cone. There's nothing better than ice cream with family on a nice hot day. This too is the joy of living close to comfort but far enough out to call it country.
All the wonderful things I can say about our neighborhood are very friendly neighbors, always willing to go the extra mile to lend a hand. A neighborhood where people care about the beauty of nature. Manicured yards, friendly pet neighbors and quiet for the senior citizens who want peace and tranquility from the busy city life.

The thing I love most about Asheville is how fun and funky it is. Art, music, crafts, brewing, and a love of the mountains combine to make a one-of-a-kind oasis in the south. I love how beautiful the Blue Ridge Mountains are on the horizon, how walkable the city is, and how accessible outdoor recreation is from hiking to rock climbing to road and mountain biking, Asheville has it all.
I love to step out my door and head over to my neighbor All Souls Pizza for a fantastic meal. The Junction is another River Arts favorite, and Clingman Cafe is spectacular for an inexpensive cup of amazing coffee. I also love to eat at Sunny Point just down the road in West Asheville and Salsa's in the downtown area. So many delicious options are within walking distance!
With the central location of my home, I have my pick of grocery stores! I often visit Earth Fare, GreenLife/Whole Foods, Amazing Savings, the French Broad Food Co-op, Trader Joe's, the Chop Shop (the amazing local butchery), and Ingles! I love that I have so many options and can even visit more than one of these great places in a single trip.
Before construction was even completed on the Clingman Lofts, I was drawn to them. They were so different from other condos I'd seen. Like Asheville, the Lofts are fun and funky. Like the River Arts District, I love how industrial and modern the Lofts feel. They're also inviting and affordable. The location is perfect; it's walkable to downtown and West Asheville is a short bike ride away. Not only that, but amazing changes are happening with the River Arts District that are incredibly exciting.
I love the Asheville area because it has a small mountain town feel to it, where folks are warm and friendly, but it's also got no shortage of fun things to do ranging from live shows to amazing food to ballet performances. Not only that, but this one-of-a-kind town is nestled in the mountains, making it so easy to go for a breathtaking hike or a challenging, but rewarding bike ride with world class views.
I truly love the Clingman Lofts, the community there and in the River Arts District. I love my condo. It's been my home for many years. It's so hard to part with it because I love it so much, but my family is expanding and it's time to move on to a different era of my life. I'll always cherish the memories I made in my home and in my neighborhood. I hope they'll both become a part of someone else's life who will get as much joy from them as I did.
I love road biking, and the Clingman Lofts are a perfect starting location for tons of popular rides. I love working and socializing at coffee shops, and there are so many with amazing atmospheres to choose from. I'm truly lucky to live in a place where hikes with astounding views are right around the corner. I also love the night life, enjoying a drink with friends at Storm the Rhum Bar or going dancing at Scandals down the road.
Our neighborhood feels like a real community, where everyone is invested in making it a wonderful place to live. Folks are friendly, interested in green living, and often artistic by nature. Because we live in the blossoming River Arts District, we're all committed to helping our community grow into something very unique and welcoming.

There is much we love about Black Mountain including the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Lake Tomahawk and nearby Montreat offer great walking and hiking all year around. There is a lovely shopping district, and various arts and craft venues. Saturdays in season host a wonderful tailgate market for fresh local produce. The Black Mountain Arts Center and the Swannanoa Valley Museum have great classes and special events. There are several music venues about town on any given week.
Amazing Black Mountain home is only a short drive to Asheville and minutes to Cheshire Fitness Club. Fully finished basement, cathedral ceilings, hardwoods and tile flooring, huge pantry, open floor plan. Workshop/ laundry area downstairs. Enjoy year round mountain views from the large balcony and front porch. Private and wooded, this is a dream home for someone seeking a true mountain retreat.

We love to eat at Louise's, Blue Ridge Biscuit Company, Ole's Guacamole, Fresh Pizza, and takeout from Red Radish. The Dripolater and Dynamite Coffee are both to die for! Dark City Cafe has the best hamburgers ever. We frequent Ingles for groceries; it's a mile away. Black Mountain Bakery always has something scrumptious.
We were drawn to this property by the ease of access to town and all the amenities while still experiencing wooded nature in a serene setting. It felt peaceful and beautiful and safe. We were especially taken with amazing natural light that plays through our yard and house and changes color with the seasons. Our wraparound decks are living space in and of themselves, with shaded cool areas and bright sun areas and plenty of room for container gardening and entertaining.
We love the Asheville area for it's artsy eclectic culture and people. There is such a variety of outdoor activities. It is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest with all its trails and scenery. It feels laid back yet with-it, something for everyone. There is lots of good local fresh produce and food available. A great small airport and good hospitals and medical services make for a comfortable place to live and for family and friends to visit.
I don't want to forget to mention the temperate climate; this is a place where autumn and spring are longer than summer and winter and all four seasons can't be beat! We love going to the artisan and craft and food fairs.
Of course we all like different things and and lots of avocations are available here, from quilting and spinning and weaving, to making pottery, and gardening. We took special care in planting a variety of trees on our property to blend in with the natural woods. We can look any of our numerous windows and doors and see a lovely wooded area. From early spring through late fall a variety of blooming trees, bushes and plants decorate our view.
Our neighborhood is an easy walk to town in a cove that offers views, privacy, woods, and very little traffic as it has one way in and no other outlets. There are young families, families with older kids, and retired folks as well.
