Enjoy the large bedrooms, open kitchen and great front yard.
The expansive bonus area in the basement is currently being used as a game room with partial kitchen, and would also make a great workshop or studio.
"Seller Says"
The things I love about Candler are: It is a smaller town but very close to bigger city living in Asheville. Asheville has so much to offer all age groups.
Some restaurants that we like to eat at are: Fatz, Applebee's, J & S Cafeteria, any local breweries. There are many grocery stores close by. Not only the big stores like Ingles, Food Lion, and BI-LO, but also Dollar General Market for quick needs is very close by.
The reason we moved into this property was the size of the home and basement space, but also because everyone in the neighborhood was so friendly. Even before moving in we knew them by name. The Asheville and Candler areas are great because the Enka district schools are wonderful.
Asheville has so much to offer for any age. The beauty of the mountains, the variety of activities, the restaurant choices, and so many other things. This property seems to be in wonderful condition for the age of the home. There have been no major repairs needed. The Heating and cooling system has been serviced regularly. This house is the original Dixon property. Mr. Dixon built this house first in the neighborhood. Hence the name Dixon Terrace. Many families that live in the neighborhood have been there for 10 plus years. Some have even lived there 40 years.
We all love to shop, but Asheville is just opening a new outlet mall May 1st. Not only is there a large mall but now outlets too.
Our neighborhood is great for quite walks, talking to the neighbors, riding bicycles, kids playing together, walking your dogs, making friends with each other.
