'Seller Says'
The things I love about living in Leicester are the friendly people and great neighbors we have! Everyone is kind and willing to lend a hand if need be. We are also blessed to look out of our front or back doors everyday and see the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains!
We have wonderful family restaurants within about 10 to 20 minutes where you feel like family and everybody knows each other. We love to eat at Mikes Main Street Grill or the Twisted Laurel in downtown Weaverville. We know and love the owners and they both have great food and a great atmosphere! On the weekends the Twisted Laurel has live bands to sit and listen to while you eat with friends!
There is a Ingles grocery store, CVS, Walgreens, doctor and dentist offices, Dollar General, Super Lube, restaurants, hardware store in Leicester about 10 minutes from our house. You can also walk to Turkey Creek Baptist Church it's less than a mile from our house
When we bought this property we were drawn to the breath taking 360 degree views.... also the peace and quiet.
We like the Asheville area because there is so much to see and do! The Biltmore House the River Arts District all the new breweries or riding with the top down or hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway or shopping at our new Asheville Outlets or just relaxing floating down the French Broad River.
We live in a very peaceful neighborhood where you might hear a cow moo because we live on our farm and we raise cattle or a rooster crow every once in a while, we are good friends with all of our neighbors! And we don't hesitate to help each other out when there is a need. There are no houses close to our house so it's very private. The land that adjoins us will never have any buildings or houses on it to obstruct the beautiful view due to The state of North Carolina and the wildlife conservatory own the land. We also might be in interested in selling more land if you would like more than a acre that comes with the house.
We love to walk and ride bikes around our neighborhood. And take our dogs to the creek so they can play and cool off.Of course we all have different hobbies but, this area is great for hiking, riding bikes or motorcycles, inter tubing or canoeing down the French Broad River, riding horses, gardening etc.
Our neighborhood is great for family gatherings sitting out on the front or back porch with friends taking in the breath taking views visiting and eating pop corn and drinking cool aid! Just like the old days.....
