'Seller Says'
Although we are in the country, it's only a short 5.5 mile drive to downtown Marshall and under 20 miles to Asheville. The whole area is beautiful but no scene surpasses the view right in front of my house.
My neighborhood is great for friendliness where people, neighbors and strangers will often strike up conversation. Swimming and fishing in the stream is very convenient, and get-togethers in the barn are so handy. The picturesque scenes abound.
Zuma's on Main Street in Marshall is everybody's favorite. There is also a splendid new Mexican restaurant right before Marshall's Ingles. La Caretta, Soba's Sushi and Blue Mountain Pizza, all in Weaverville, are all excellent restaurants.
Ingles supermarket is a short 12 minutes away. A very nice health food store in Marshall, Madison Natural Foods, is on Main Street, just 5.5 miles from home. There are also in the same vicinity other stores like hardware stores and clothing stores. There are also many wonderful restaurants in nearby Weaverville.
When we bought the property, we were drawn to the country feel and the true country living, the good soil to grow edible gardens, the moderate climate, the cool summers, the long stretch of paths for walking by the stream that goes on for miles, and most of all we were drawn to the peacefulness and tranquility of River Highlands.
