The things we love about Mills River include the proximity to both Asheville and Hendersonville. We are equidistance between the two and less than 5 minutes from the airport. There is a good mixture of "city" and "mountain" activities for all ages.

We love to eat out and there are almost limitless choices within a 20 minute drive. Our favorite places include: the Robinson Pub right here on property, a variety of European and Asian restaurants and of course, southern barbeque.

Shopping is close and convenient to commute to...there are numerous grocery stores within a short drive and all the retail choices you can imagine.

When we bought this home, we did so because of its location and the gated community. The amenities were very appealing and we have found them very convenient and enjoyable. We have formed long lasting and close friendships here in our community and have grown to love all the convenience of a gated community.

Living in the mountains of western North Carolina allows us to experience all four seasons, but not the extremes we found in the north. The Asheville area is a very eclectic mix of cultures, people and activities. We love the wild life in our neighborhood, frequently seeing deer, wild turkey, fox and the occasional bear.

No matter what your interests or hobbies might be, you can easily find them here. We love theater, golf, spending time with our family and friends and many outdoor activities. You can quickly get to major metropolitan markets like Charlotte or Atlanta and the local baseball team, the Asheville Tourists, provides low cost, family friendly entertainment. There are so many things to do and enjoy in this area, you really must get out and explore them all.

Living in the High Vista Country Club community provides us with the opportunity to partake in numerous social and recreational activities. We particularly enjoy the restaurant and club house for social gatherings, the tennis courts for tennis and pickle ball, the swimming pool and the 18 hole championship golf course. The neighborhood is friendly and easy to navigate in our golf cart. The mountain views are spectacular.

The things we love about Swannanoa is living in a quiet valley, surrounded by mountains with Asheville only 12 miles down the road.
Ingles is .6 miles away, so we often walk or ride our bikes. It’s so convenient and just got a Starbucks in it!
We were looking for a home in a safe, friendly, SMALL neighborhood community to raise our son in. It´s been perfect. Our son runs around all summer from house to house and they all play together.

Halloween is the BEST! Everyone in Swannanoa comes to OUR neighborhood. We actually have an annual Halloween costume party at the neighbor's house driveway. Adults get wine, kids get cider and we have a potluck right on the driveway, while trick or treaters come by for goodies. We have a movie playing on the garage door the whole night.
Our favorite things to do are hiking, walking, relaxing with family and friends.
Our neighborhood is wonderful for having a small, family friendly community where everyone greets each other with a wave and a smile. We have become close friends with 5 of the families that live around our house, and know almost everyone in this community. We love walking around the ´loop´, saying hi to everyone, seeing kids play in the park.
