"Seller Says"

The things we love about Waynesville are it's charming main street area of shops, galleries and restaurants.

We love to eat at The Sweet Onion Restaurant and The Chef's Table restaurants near the main street area of Waynesville and also, Frankie's Italian Trattoria in Maggie Valley. We also love to go to Asheville often and explore new restaurants there as it is only a 30 minute drive for us.

Waynesville offers the largest and most complete of all Ingles supermarkets in the area. As a matter of fact, it is the top Ingles markets in terms of sales. A much anticipated Publix supermarket is also in the plans to open up within the near future across from the existing Ingles supermarket. There are little to no wait times at the post offices and banks - time is really plentiful when you do not need to stand in line to run errands.

This home caught our attention for our growing family as it had the most level large lot we had seen and by far the best in the entire subdivision. We were captivated by the views and the luxurious feel inside this lovely home and the attention to detail given when constructed. It shows that lots of planning was done when designing this home. Another feature we loved was the incredible amount of storage space - roomy closets throughout and the hardwood floors and double-paned windows and sliding glass doors. Another aspect which was very important for us was how private the property was yet very convenient to I-40. We also loved the paved roads and very affordable association dues at just $365 flat fee annually.

We love the privacy and peace provided by this setting to live here year-round with the breathtaking views of the mountains, 4 distinct seasons and great schools for our children. We have very close access to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for hiking, picnics, and viewing wildlife. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also a beautiful drive offering scenery you can't find anywhere else. We are just 30 minutes from Asheville and 20 miles from the Tennesee border so visiting other charming towns like Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in a day is something we enjoy doing often.

A few other things we can mention are that although our house was hooked up to a shared well when we purchased it, we invested in drilling our own PRIVATE WELL to be independent from sharing a well. We pay no water fees whatsoever and we have wonderful spring water from our well. We also paved our 2-level driveway and have always maintained this house very well. We have a whole house water filtration system and purchased brand new stainless steel kitchen appliances in August 2015 and a new water heater in August 2016.

As far as another positive about the area that we liked is the access to many medical providers and particularly the new Mission Hospital's state of the art medical building recently inaugurated in Clyde (just a 10 minute drive) for primary care and specialists.

We enjoy hiking within our subdivision, exploring the outdoors, trying out new restaurants and traveling.

Our subdivision is great for tranquility and privacy and wonderful to raise a family. It also offers us many opportunities to view all sorts of beautiful wildlife and awesome sunrises and sunsets.

Our average monthly electric bill is about $200 HOWEVER we are not the typical household because one of us works from home and has the A/C running non-stop during the warm months and the heating on during the colder months. If we opened windows and did not turn on the A/C or heating throughout the day our electric cost would be substantially less.
