The things I love about my town are how safe I feel and how quiet it is. While my kids were in school, I liked the fact that they were able to go to a very good school district. We enjoyed it very much. We are close to the shopping center. It almost ten minutes we can be in any of the stores. It makes things easier.
We love to eat at Papa's and beer. Our favorite Mexican restaurant. Near the shopping center, we also have Carrabas; we love the Thai place called Tamarindo. We have Olive Garden and Chillis. We have a great choice around my town.
Grocery stores are plentiful. We have Ingles on 25 S and it is only about five to ten minutes. Publix opened almost a year or so ago and now is one of our favorites restaurants. We also have Super Walmart and Target. It can not get any better than this.
When we bought the property we were drawn to the location and the convenience to our jobs and local restaurant, shopping, etc.
The Asheville area is wonderful. We are about 20 min. away. Asheville always has something to offer. There are festivals, concerts and a wide variety of great restaurants and places for all ages.
A few other things that I can mention are the proximity to big cities such as Charlotte, Greenville and Atlanta in Georgia. For those who like to have fun and spend a little bit of money, we have Harrahs Casino in Cherokee.
We love the mountains, the climate and the people in this area. Of course we all like different things but the location of our home has allowed us to go hiking, snowboarding, and water skiing at the lakes around here.
My neighbors are great. They are very quiet and yet very friendly. Once in while, we get together to either talk about some of the fixings we need to do in the neighborhood, or simply to enjoy our time and hear the news about each of our families.
Our utility costs are better than we have experienced before. We have Duke Power and have never had any bad reports. We have City water and is all good. We also have Direct T.V. and they have always been very helpful. It has truly been a blessings. No issues to complain about.
